Owner Stays Only for Owner and Family Members, Friends and Relatives Must Register as Guests
Can I book Owner Stay for my friends or relatives?
According to the regulations set by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DET), Owner Stays are only allowed for the Owner of the property and their direct family members. This means that if you have a holiday home that is licensed by DET, you cannot book an Owner Stay for your friends or non-direct relatives.
If you still want your friends or non-direct relatives to stay in your property, they can be registered as regular Guests. However, in this case, you will be required to pay the DET Tourism Dirham Fee to the government.
Important points to remember:
- Owner Stays are only allowed for the Owner of the property and their direct family members.
- If friends or non-direct relatives are to stay in your property, they can be registered as regular Guests.
